A delegation from Austrian government departments, the Austrian Embassy in China, research institutions, and enterprises visited the Institute of Process Engineering to attend the China‑Austria Energy Science Roundtable.
A delegation led by Prof. Lutz Eckstein, President of the Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI) and Director of the Institute for Automotive Engineering at RWTH Aachen University, visited the State Key Laboratory of Mesoscience and Process Engineering at the Institute of Process Engineering.
Professor Jean-Marie Tarascon of the Collège de France, a globally renowned expert in battery materials and electrochemical energy storage, visited the Institute of Process Engineering (IPE) at the invitation of the institute and participated as a guest speaker in the “Process Engineering High-End Forum”.
IPE has been long dedicated to international collaboration and academic exchange. It is well connected with the world and has developed short- or long-term partnership with many world well-known institutions /universities or enterprises of 30+ countries/regions. Many IPE scientists hold important positions in international organizations, and a number of international conferences has been hosted.
There are many distinguished foreign scientists that collaborated very closely with IPE researchers and made remarkable contribution and important achievements. In order to honor those eminent foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to facilitating cooperation with IPE in science and technology, in an attempt to encourage more efforts in this respect that will strengthen our science and technology innovation capacity, Awards for International Scientific Cooperation were granted to them, by CAS, the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs or the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The CAS President’s International Fellowship Initiative, PIFI, is a specific funding program to attract talented foreigners to Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) for scientific exchanges and research cooperation. It is open to scientific research personnel from around the globe, of seven types. The Institute of Process Engineering, CAS welcomes scientists who want to visit or work short- or long-term.
