On April 30, 2026, a delegation led by Prof. Lutz Eckstein, President of the Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI) and Director of the Institute for Automotive Engineering at RWTH Aachen University, visited the State Key Laboratory of Mesoscience and Process Engineering at the Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on engineering discipline development, simulation modeling, technology transfer, industrial standard formulation, and international collaboration, reaching a preliminary consensus on signing a strategic cooperation agreement and jointly establishing an international cooperation platform. During the visit, the delegation toured the Institute’s exhibition hall and laboratories, and spoke highly of the Institute’s breakthrough progress in the green and intelligent process industries.
