Agreement was signed on April 23, 2014 on the Joint-Supervisor PhD Degree Project between Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and Institute of Process Engineering (IPE), Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prof. Zhang Suojiang, director of IPE gave a speech on the ceremony.
Prof. Zhang made a brief introduction about the postgraduate education of IPE, especially focused on the cooperation with DTU. Prof. Kim Dam-Johansen, head of the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering of DTU, reviewed the history about cooperation between DTU and IPE, and spoke highly of the situation of MSc project in Engineering (Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Biomass Based Energy) .
DTU will provided scholarship for postgraduates from IPE in the next five years to pursue PhD study in Denmark. The two sides will establish cooperative projects to promote outstanding young scientists for academic activities in the future. The agreement will enhance the comprehensive strength and expand the international influence providing a good mode for further international cooperation. (IPE)
