The 2010 annual meeting of American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) was held at Salt Lake City, USA, November 7 to 12, 2010. Li Jinghai, Zhang Suojiang and Ge Wei, representing Institute of Process Engineering (IPE) attended the meeting.

Li Jinghai, vice president of Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) won the Lectureship Award in Fluidization due to his distinguished contribution on particle technology. Li made a report about the research progress of multi-phase analog simulation calculations on Particle Technology Forum Awards Lectures.

Zhang Suojiang, director of IPE as co-chairs presided at the meeting “International Forum on Clean and Renewable Energies (plenary)” and “Novel Catalytic and Separation Process Based on Ionic Liquids”. IPE professors made reports about ionic liquids and multi-scale methodology at the meeting.

IPE representatives were involved in the communication and activities organized by AIChE. Experts abroad enhanced their understanding on IPE through the academic exchange and activities, showing international cooperation prospect of IPE.
