Resume

Prof. Xiangping Zhang received her bachelor’s degree in 1991 and master degree in 1994 from Zhengzhou University, the Ph.D. degree of Chemical Engineering in 2002 from Dalian University of Technology, China. Then she joined in Institute of Process Engineering of Chinese Academy Sciences. She has worked in Norwegian University of Science and Technology as the researcher. She has published more than 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals and obtained more than 20 issued invention patents. She was awarded the National Award for Natural Sciences in China, the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scientists in 2014, Zhu Li Yue Hua Excellent Teacher Award, Advanced Individual of Chinese Academy of Sciences "Women's Contribution", Hou Debang Chemical Science & Technology Achievement Award,Min Enze Prize for Outstanding Contribution to the Energy and Chemical Industry.

Research interests: process simulation and integration, green degree analysis, techno-economic-environmental assessment of processes, properties and thermodynamic models of ionic liquid-based systems, gas separation and purification, CO2 capture and utilization.

She is the deputy director of Beijing Key Laboratory of Ionic Liquid Cleaning Process, Member of the 40th Council of Chinese Society of Chemical Engineering, deputy editor of the Journal of Process Engineering (in China), editorial board member of Chemical Progress (in China), deputy editor of Green Chem Eng, and editorial board member of Fluid Phase Equilibria. She is a professor of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) and a visiting professor of Lule University of technology in Sweden.
