Resume

Prof. Dr. Jianmin XING, deputy director of division of green chemical engineering of Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, received bachelor's degree and master's degree from Shandong University in 1989 and 1992, separately, and doctorate degree from Institute of Chemical Metallurgy, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1999. He was a senior visiting scholar from Karlsruhe Research Center and University of California Davis in 2005 and 2009, separately.

He is interested in the research of chemical bioengineering. Metabolic engineering of Escherichia coli, Thioalkalivibrio versutus, and other microorganisms has been carried out. Efficient biosynthesis of succinic acid, D-lactic acid, and other bulk chemicals and natural plant products has been realized. Biodesulfurization and denitrification of biogas, natural gas, oil, flue gas and refractory industrial wastewater has been carried out. Biodesulfurization with magnetic immobilized cell has been developed. The microbial desulfurization based on haloalkalophilic microorganisms and other chemical unit operations was integrated into a new desulfurization technology for biogas, natural gas and refinery gas have been established and applied in industry. The removal rate of hydrogen sulfide is higher than 99.5%, and the sulfur content of purified biogas is less than 10 ppm. He served as editorial board member of Chinese Journal of Biotechnology and Current Biotechnology. He has presided and completed a number of National Key R&D Program of China, Major Science and Technology Projects, 973, 863, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Knowledge Innovation Project of CAS and enterprise projects in recent years. He has published more than 110 SCI papers, and was authorized more than 50 patents. He won the second prize of State Technological Invention Award (personal ranking second) in 2014, and the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association (personal ranking second) in 2011.
