Resume
Dan Wang is professor at Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IPE-CAS). He graduated from Jilin University in 1994, received a master degree from Jilin University in 1997, and a doctorate degree from Yamanashi University, Japan in 2001. After postdoctoral training in Kochi University, Research Institute of Innovative Technology for the Earth and Kyoto University, successively, he joined IPE-CAS since 2004. He is mainly engaged in the research of synthetic chemistry of multifunctional structural systems, including the controllable synthesis of hollow multishelled structure (HoMS), the doping modification of two-dimensional carbon materials, and the application of materials in the fields of lithium-ion batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cells, solar cells, catalysis, gas sensor, and drug release. His research results were published in journals such as Nat. Chem., Nat. Energy, Nat. Commun., Nat. Rev. Chem., Natl. Sci. Rev., Chem, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Energy Environ. Sci., Adv. Sci., ACS Nano, Chem. Soc. Rev., Acc. Chem. Res., and he has obtained 29 invention patents. The scientific research achievements won the first prize of the Natural Science of China Particle Society in 2018, The 2nd Award of Science and Technology Award of Beijing Municipality in 2015. He was funded by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2013. Honors and awards include Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry (2014), Young and Middle-aged Leading Scientists, Engineers and Innovators (2014), Evonik Particuology Innovation Award presented in partnership with the Chinese Society of Particuology (2014), CAS Award for Outstanding Mentors (PhD Supervisors) (2014), Leading scientist of Ten Thousand Talent Program (2016), Expert of special allowances of the State Council (2018). He is the executive editor of Chem. Res. Chinese U., associate editor of Mater. Chem. Front., advisory board member of Energy Environ. Sci., Adv. Sci., Adv. Mater. Interface, and Matter, and editor board member of Chinese Sci. Bull., Acta Chimica Sinica, and Mater. Res. Innov.
