Resume

Professor Huizhou Liu, winner of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, is the director of Key Laboratory of Green Process and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prof. Liu's research focuses on the interface and structure of microemulsions, researching green separation methods and developing new and efficient separation technologies. In recent years, he has been mainly engaged in the separation of biochemical products and the separation and purification of complex polymetallic systems, as well as in-depth research on new three-phase extraction processes and their nanostructures and interfaces. He has presided over and undertaken research projects including the National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program), the National High Technology Research and Development (863 Program), the Major Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and National Key Scientific Instrument and Equipment Development Project. He authored 386 publications in first-class journals in this field, with 10520 citations by others, and was selected as Elsevier 2016-2020 Most Cited Chinese Researchers. He published two translated works and 10 co-authored monographs. More than 80 Chinese invention patents have been authorized, and 3 international invention patents have been authorized. The awards and honorary titles that Prof. Liu have been obtained include: 1) Second Class Prize of the State Technological Innovation Award (2014, The first accomplisher); 2) First Class Prize (2014) and Second Class Prize (2010) of Science and Technology Progress Award from China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association; 3) Second Class Prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award (2007); 4) The First “Outstanding Youth of Chinese Academy of Sciences” Title (1997). Prof. Liu is adjunct professor of Department of Applied Chemistry, Peking University and Department of Chemistry, University of Science and Technology Beijing. He concurrently serves as executive director of The Chinese Society for Metals, member of Chemical Engineering Committee of The Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China, member of Metallurgical Physical Chemistry Professional Committee of The Nonferrous Metals Society of China, member of American Mineral, and member of the Society of Metals and Materials. He also serves as Co-Editors-in-Chief of " Separation Purification Technology ", associate editor of "Chemistry (Huaxue Tongbao)" and member of the editorial board of several journals such as “Green Chemical Engineering”, "Spectroscopy and Spectral Analysis", "Science Bulletin", and "Chinese Journal of Process Engineering", etc.
