YANG Chao, chemical engineer, was elected Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2025. His research interests focus on foundation research and application of multiphase reactor engineering. He developed the digital scale-up technology of multiphase reactors by integrating mathematical models, algorithms and measurement techniques applied in petrochemicals, electronic-grade chemicals and aerospace solid propellant materials.
