    Title:In Situ Research on Experimental Process at Atomic Scale

    Abstract:

    Based on the idea of "building nanoscale laboratories in transmission electron microscopy", we can use in-plane aberration correction transmission electron microscopy and self-built in-situ operation and performance characterization platforms to achieve in-situ growth materials. Four aspects of our research team in recent years are presented here, including nano-processing, structural performance synchronization, device site construction of, the leading cutting-edge research work. The ultra - efficient adsorption performance of graphene porous structure is reported for the first time. The solid metal nanoparticles were found to have a liquid behavior below 10 nm. A method of in situ construction of electronically driven heterostructures was developed. At the same time, on the basis of field experiment, the possible application of new materials is discussed.

    About the speaker:

    Prof. SUN Litao currently serves as vice dean of School of Electronic Science and Engineering, Southeast University (SEU), the deputy director of Key Lab of MEMS of Ministry of Education, and the director of SEU-FEI Nano-Pico center. He is the founding chairman of IEEE Nanotechnology Council Nanjing Chapter. He received his PhD from the Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2005. He worked as a research fellow at University of Mainz, Germany from 2005 to 2008, and a visiting professor at University of Strasbourg, France from 2009 to 2010. Since 2008, he joined SEU and honored as a Distinguished Professor.
    Prof. SUN is the member of standing committee of Chinese Electron Microscopy Society, member of China Graphene Standardization Committee, one of drafters of the No.1 standards for graphene in China and Review Panel member of Graphene Flagship, European Commission. He is the author and co-author of over 100 papers on international journals including Science, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Materials, etc.
    Research interests:
    (1) Controllable preparation and structural characterization of nanomaterials.
    (2) Electric and mechanical properties of Monomer nanomaterials (including experiments by TEM and simulations by Material Studio).(3) Practice irradiation effects of nanomaterials and high-resolution electron microscopy.
    (4) High-precision in-situ Nanofabrication and nanomanipulation
    (5) Research about design of nanodevice and related technology (nano-extruders, high-frequency nano-resonators)
