Bureau of Life Science and Biotechnology Chinese Academy of Sciences (BLSB-CAS) held the project argumentation meeting on July 9 for Biotechnological Innovation and Industrialization United Fund collaborated by BLSB and Hualan Biological Engineering Inc.. Panels of experts are national prestigious researchers in biotechnology area. IPE Professors Ma Guanghui and Su Zhiguo presented at the meeting.

The fund was invested by BLSB and Hualan Biological Engineering Inc.. The aim of the fund is to support CAS research institutions for projects application taking enterprises' needs as orientation, and to solve key problems in R&D of biotechnological products. Four projects of IPE were in the argumentation charged by Prof.Su Zhiguo, Hu Tao, associate Prof. Luo Jian and Wang Lianyan, respectively.

The Biotechnological Innovation and Industrialization United Fund was launched in Xinxiang, Henan province on Sep. 6 last year. Hualan Biological Engineering Inc. was founded in 1992 and engaged in R&D and production of blood products, vaccine and genetically engineered drugs. It is a giant of blood products and influenza vaccine in Asia owing the largest-scale, highest-use ratio and maximum variety. In 2005, Hualan Biological Engineering Inc. and IPE established the joint laboratory for biological product technics and got extensive cooperation.
