The subject “Songhua River Basin Heavily Polluting Industries Cleaner Production Technology and Demonstration” chaired by Prof. Cao Hongbin got excellent rank in the mid-term inspection of the special science and technology project on treatment and control of water pollution.

A series of achievements were achieved in the course of project implementation, including coal chemical waste water integrated treatment and recycle technology, electrodialysis desalination technology in corn starch produce, clean technology in soybean processing, furfural wastewater resource technology and penicillin fermentation broth efficient extraction technology. Both clean production technology research and demonstration projects were carried out, binging about tremendous environmental, economic and social benefits.
