Sept 10-11, 2010, Chengde, Hebei, in the first session of Chengde Vi-Ti Conference, Professor Tao Qi, assistant to IPE director, signed an agreement with Chengde Steel Group on joint establishment of a lab on clean use of Va-Cr-Ti-Fe resources. (hereafter referred as the Lab). The Lab will combine IPE’s R&D forces and Chengde Steels’ abundance of resources together to develop core techniques for clean and high performance processes and environment conservation. Profess Shili Zheng from IPE and Director Donghui Chen from Vi-Ti Center of Chengde Steels were appointed to take charge of the lab. The parties would take sub-molten salts as the start point for the full range cooperation.
