In the yearly CAS Technical Transfer & Transformation Award Announcement, IPE won collective first class award; Dr Qiangqiang Tan of IPE S&T Development Dept. and Dr Dongping Duan, CAS Dangshan Hi-Tech Research & Transformation Center, got individual first class award; Professor Wanqi Hu (as deputy chief in Lulong county, Qinghuangdao, Hebei) won individual second class award.

　　In 2009, IPE made remarkable achievements in academic-enterprise cooperation and technical transfer and transformation: 126 new technical transfer/transformation projects with contract value over 100 million yuan, the paid-in amount increased by 136% compared to that of 2008; 15 new platforms set up for technical transfer/transformation and joined 9 major industrial alliance for technical innovations, such as solar power utilization, short process for metallurgy, overseas non ferrous metal resources development.
