  • Another Key Project in the National Science & Technology Pillar Program Passed Mid-Term Assessment

May 13,2010, IPE main building, the Mid-term Assessment Meeting for Multi-scale Simulated Enlargement Technique in Process Engineering and its Applications in Petrochemical Industry (one of the key projects in the National Science & Technology Pillar Program) is held. The meeting presided by deputy director of CAS Hi-Tech Bureau, Ms Guiju Liu. Presented are Prof. LI Jinghai, vice president of CAS and other officials from Ministry of Science and Technology, CAS as well as Prof.Zhang Suojiang , Prof. Jiang Ming and Director Liu Qingfen from IPE.

The expert panel, consist of experts and professors from BIT, Tsinghua, UPC (Beijing), BUAA, CNPC, ISCAS. SinoChem and RIPED, heard out the reports from the project manager, Prof. Ge Wei  and other 5 team leaders on project progress, expenses and future plan of the project.

The experts had detailed inquiries on the project implementations and ardent discussions with the project team. Eventually, the panel considered each team accomplished the milestones set forth in the project plan. Through the mid-term evaluation, the panel suggested the project should enhance the amicability of the software so that the simulation can be a better platform for the real project.  Prof. Li Jinghai  pointed out the significance of this research project, suggested to make the platform into a simulator to have online simulation of the process.
