The State Key Laboratory of Multi-Phase Complex System passed  its  national valuation conducted by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) on January 16th, 2008. The expert committee included Section Chief - Wenneng Zhou from Department of  Basic Research MOST, Section Chief - Yanmei Liu, Xiaoqiu Yang and Qingping Zhu from Administrative Center MOST, Vice Director - Liping Zhang, Section Chief - Xiaonian Zheng and Vice Section Chief -Hongfei Hou from Bureau of Comprehensive  Planning CAS. The leaders from IPE also attended this event including  Executive Vice  Director-General Suojiang, Zhang, Secretary of  Party Committee and Vice Director - Yunfa Chen, Director Assitant-Qin Xiao, Honoary Chairman of  Laboratory - Musun Guo,  Chairman-Jinhai Li, Deputy Chairman of IPE’s academic committee- Hongzhou Li and deputy chairman and other key researchers of this lab attended the followingdiscussion section.
　The  expert committee carefully  reviewed the laboratory construction plan and evaluation document,  listened  chairman's  report  and  walked  through  the laboratory and discussed with on-site staff on some key issues. After thorough discussions, the expert committee agreed that since it officially launched in July 2006,  the State Key Laboratory of Multi-Phase Complex System had been aimed on major goals in processing engineering field,followed the nation's overall 'One core and four layers' science & technology layout  and  conducted  advanced and practical research in various areas in China. The main goals of the laboratory were accurately set and the major research interests  were clearly  stated  and  the infrastructure was well established. During the construction stage, the lab has been successfully participated several national major research projects, especially on training students and professionals, building research teams, developing the laboratory platform and creating rules and regulations. The expert committee was very satisfied with the inspection and evaluation findings and thus the evaluation was fully passed.
