Prof . Brian A. Korgel from Department of Chemistry Engineer at Universityof Texas, invited by Dr. Wang Dan, visited the Institute of Process Engineering, CAS on December 5th, 2008. Prof Korgel is the internationally distinguished nanomaterial expert in the studies of nanomaterial synthesis and structural analysis, which leads to his many publications on the high-profile journals, such as Science, JACS, Nano letters, Angewandte Chemie-International Edition, Physical Review Letters, and Langmuir.
Dr. Brian A. Korgel presented a seminar titled by Colloidal Cu(InGa)Se2 Nanocrystals: A Precursor Route to Printed Photovoltaics. After the seminar, Prof. Korgel continued to have a face-to-face discussion with the graduate students from Inorganic Materials and gave them some great suggestions on the designing and conducting experiments. Prof Brian A. Korgel’s visit received unanimous praises from the professors and students in IPE. |
