  • 1st ASIA PACIFIC CONFERENCE ON IONIC LIQUIDS AND GREEN PROCESSES

Incorporating 1st China National Conference on Ionic Liquids and Green Processes

Topic: From Fundamental properties to Engineering and Applications
    Nov. 5 - 8th, 2008,Beijing
As a frontier and a hot issue in the field of green chemistry, research on ionic liquids provides brand new chances to solve the crucial strategic problems of the world energy, resources and environment. However, as a new type of complicated material system, the theory and application of ionic liquids are still need to be deepened and perfected. Facing the challenges on technology, economy and environment, the problem of how to realize the breakthrough on the common scientific laws and crucial technology of ionic liquids, has become a significant problem that concerned in common by academe, industry members and administerial department.
In September, 2007, the 143rd Forum of Young Scientists—Ionic Liquid and Green Chemistry, was successfully organized by Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Science, Chemical Industry Press, China University of Petroleum-Beijing and Zhejiang University together. More than 100 experts and scholars attended the forum, most of whom found it really was necessary and redounded to their research work. On the strong demand of many scholars, we plan to continue to organize a conference on the similar theme this year and will try to make it an annual conference nationally in order to promote the research and application of ionic liquids.
