  • IPE Won the Award for Academy-Locality Cooperation

    IPE hit the top and was honored with the First Prize of Advanced Group of CAS Award for Academy-Locality Cooperation, and Tan Qiangqiang won the Advanced Individual of the Award, according to the list of 2010 Award for Academy-Locality Cooperation released by CAS this month. 27 groups and 42 people in CAS won the awards. This is the second time for IPE won the award after honored with 2009 Award for Academy-Locality Cooperation.

    A series of regulations and rules on technology transfer, scientific achievement publish, industrialization, intellectual property management and fund were made; Industry, Academy and Research (IAR) Office, Industry Promotion Office and Intellectual Property Office were set up, organization structure taking Technological Licensing Office as the main part was improved to promote IPE Academy-Locality Cooperation. In 2010, the institute signed 178 pacts with the total contract amount 187 million yuan. The number of platforms reached to 43 and 14 of them joined in the Innovation Alliance for industry technology.

    By the end of 2010, IPE formed burgeoning technological groups, represented as multi-scale analogue simulation computing, sub-molten salt, ionic liquid, function powder and coating, straw refining, recycling of cyaniding waste residue, PEG-modified protein drugs and scale cultivation of special creature. These technologies applied into local industries helped enterprises gain economic benefit over 7 billion yuan in 2010.
