February 6 - 8, 2010, Beijing-- International Symposium On Sustainable Energy: Challenges and Opportunities (ISSE2010) was held in Beijing Xijiao Hotel. As the organizer, IPE invited 120 guests from Tokyo Institute of Technology(Japan), Curtin University of Technology(Australia), University of Leeds(UK), Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (USA), GE, Topsoe(Danmark), Datang International Chemical Research Institute, Shanghai Bike Clean Energy Resources, Tsinghua Univeristy, Zhejiang University and Dalian Institute of Technology. The papers presented in symposium covered six categories — materials for solar energy, carbon capture and storage (CCS), coal gasification and biomass and so on. ISSE2010 provided an international forum for presenting, discussing and reviewing the latest advances in innovative strategies, policies and technologies for maintaining sustainable energy production, supply and utilization.
