To enrich the cultural life of graduate students at the Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IPE), encourage students to head outdoors and embrace the beauty of spring, advocate low-carbon travel, boost exchanges and mutual learning between domestic and international students, and showcase their vibrant spirit, the IPE Graduate Student Union held the light hiking activity along the Hundred-Li Lake and Mountain Colonnade on April 26, 2026. More than 40 domestic students and over 30 international students — over 70 participants in total — stepped away from their laboratories and traveled north to explore the landscapes of Yanqing District, Beijing.
