SAC/TC & SC Secretariat Seminar was kicked off on 7th December in National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST), which was co-organized by Institute of Process and Engineering (IPE), Science and Technology Branch for China Association for Quality (CAQ) and NCNST. SAC/TC & SC Secretariat is attached to Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

Officials attending the meeting included Hu Huixun from Science and Technology Department of Standardization Administration of China, MiuYougui and Yao Guanhui from Bureau of Planning and Finance Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as over 20 delegates from branches of CAS. The meeting was hosted by ShenDianhong, vice Director of SAC/TC.

Firstly, Hu briefed the recent work of SAC/TC and what they will do next step, in particular, the outline on SAC/TC administration. Miu next overviewed what CAS did about Standardization. He said, the leaders of CAS always attached great importance to the work about Standardization, and has brought it into Intellectual Property Management System of CAS. He hoped that the Science and Technology Branch of CAQ could serve as a great platform to promote more communications between the members of organizations. Finally, Wang Xiaoping and Chen Tiaodi presented their working experience of the SAC/TC. Wang is the deputysecretarygeneral from SAC/TC and Chen, thedeputysecretarygeneral from National Technical Committee 249 on Functional Ceramics of Standardization Administration of China.

Besides, the deputies discussed the national policies and related policies of CAS and proposed many good suggestions. They said, SAC/TC & SC Secretariatshould enhance cooperation and keep in line with the working plan of SAC/TC so as to play a leading part in the development of China’s economy.
