The sixth science and technology cooperation talks between Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Xinjiang province were performed at the state of Changji, China. The meeting was jointly held by the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Chinese Academy Sciences (CAS), and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.

The innovation of industrial environment protection was raised by the Institute of Processing Engineering, Chinese Academy Sciences (IPE-CAS), through revealing its 10 scientific and technological payoffs including all fields about environmental protection, material and chemical engineering. Achievements like the overall treatment of coking waste water and the co-production of pulp and humic acid fertilizer won the special attention from participating enterprises, because more and more enterprises realized that environment protection was tough target during develop themselves, rather than only benefiting from natural biomass resources. The enterprises there expected close cooperation with IPE-CAS, jointly facilitating the high efficient, clean new process, equipment and technology.

More and more provinces abundant in resources will make comprehensive scientific adjustments with the relationship between resource exploitation, environmental protection and resource conservation, with further favoring industries like integrated utilization of resources, sewage treatment, flue gas desulfurization, recycling and reuse of wastes. These industries were engineering advantages of IPE. IPE is investigating and planning a series of strategic new industries right now, expecting to seize the opportunity to put forward the cooperation among industries, universities and research institutes reaching higher levels with the guidance of projects, driving the development of local industries and ecology protection.
