Parallel Computation System for Multi-scale Discrete Simulation

  Devoted to the striding development of China’s process industry, the laboratory carries out studies on complex multi-phase reaction engineering related to energy transformation, materials preparation, resources utilization and etc., focusing on the international frontiers of both process engineering and complexity science. Around this vision, it takes quantification and control of temporal and spatial multi-scale structures as the key discipline to investigate the principles and correlations involved in material flow, transport phenomena, chemical reactions and their interactions in the physical and chemical transformation of matter. Through such fundamental research, theories and methodologies related to the scale-up and control of multi-phase systems are expected to be evolved, to solve bottleneck problems in the process industry, particularly sectors thereof related to coal and functional materials, clean technology as well as the industrialization of laboratory results with improved efficiency.
