The delegation from the Egyptian Bureau for Cultural, Educational and Scienctific Affairs in the Egyptian Embassy in China, led by Counsellor Omayma Ghanem Zaidan visited Institute of Process Engineering (IPE), Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS), to enhance the collaboration in education, science and technology on August 26.  

The two sides had an in-depth discussion and finally reached a consensus to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate in the following aspects: 

To strive for more scholarship to support more excellent postgraduate students to IPE for master or PhD degree;  

To foster the exchange of ideas, skills and knowledge;  

To cooperate in seeking funding from various funding agencies in China and Egypt to support joint research projects in the field of green bio-energy technology, recycling technology of waste plastics, water treatment and seawater desalination.
