Invited by IPE Laboratory for Hydrometallurgical Cleaner Production Technology (NELHCPT), Mr David Milbourn, General Secretary of the Vanadium International Technical Committee (VANITEC) paid an academic visit to IPE on Nov 13, 2010.

　 In his presentation on Vanadium: Current Applications and Future Opportunities, Mr David Milbourn introduced VANITEC and gave a deep analysis on the global vanadium business, the role and prospective of vanadium in steel and chemical industry. He pointed out that, China consumed much less vanadium in steel industry, only 30g per ton steel, compared to the developed countries (80g/ton steel in USA, 50g/ton steel in EU). Thus, in China, the vanadium industry is very promising.

　Mr Hao Du of IPE introduced the guests the NELHCPT and the details about sub-molten salts in chemical metallurgy.
