January 9, 2010, Panzhihua city, Sichuan Province—Fundamental Study on clean use of Rare Metalloid and Ferrous Metals, one of the IPE projects sponsored by the state 973 Program, held a successful annual meeting for 2009.
　　Academician Yi Zhang, the initiator of the meeting, pointed out that the reason to hold such a meeting in Panzhihua Steelworks was to collaborate with experts and engineers who are working in manufacturing plants by hearing their first-hand suggestions and comments. The leaders from MOST affirmed that the study went on well and the plan was overfulfilled. And suggested each team should enhance their communication, cooperation with each other and info and data sharing in the next year to form team strength to achieve the project objectives not only in quantity but also in quality.
