On Nov 8, 2009, Dr. Guanghui Ma won TWAS-TWOWS-SCOPUS Young Researcher Awards in the two-day symposium/award ceremony in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The award for the engineering field was presented to Dr Ma because her excellence in preparing uniform controllable macromolecular microsphere and microcapsule.
